Support Agencies Onsite (RTLB, RTLIT, OSCAR)
We are lucky to be the host school for the RTLB service and a RTLit. These specialist services work across the South and West Otago district.
Resource Teachers of Learning and Behaviour
The South West Otago RTLB service is based on site at Balclutha Primary School, but are employed through Tahuna Intermediate School in Dunedin. Services for RTLB must be referred by a class teacher or other professional.
The RTLB service works together with teachers and schools to find solutions that support students in Years 1-10 who have learning and/or behaviour difficulties.

Resource Teacher: Literacy
The South West Otago RTLit is also based at Balclutha Primary School. The RTLit provides specialised literacy assistance for learners in year 1 to 8 who are experiencing difficulties with literacy learning.
